The Opportunity

As a growth-driven organization with a leadership position in protective packaging, Pregis is looking for a Sales Account Manager to drive sales performance and elevate customer experience across Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso TX. This role is a critical part of our strategy to win new business, grow market share, and strengthen channel partner relationships.

Location : Must reside in Arizona, preferably greater Phoenix area

Territory : Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso TX

Travel : Up to 25%

Position Summary

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Account Manager will own territory growth by prospecting and closing new business, expanding existing accounts, and partnering with our distribution network to deliver maximum value to end users. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role requiring a blend of strategic selling, relationship building, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Measures

  • Achievement vs. revenue plan (AOP)
  • New account acquisition and retention of existing customers
  • Market share growth within assigned territory
  • Channel partner engagement and performance
  • CRM opportunity creation and visit activity

Key Performance Indicators

  • Identify, qualify, and close new customer opportunities within the territory
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with channel partners and end users
  • Develop and execute winning sales strategies that drive sustainable growth
  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, engineering, and product teams to deliver effective, competitive solutions
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pricing, and profitability tracking
  • Ensure timely CRM updates and completion of administrative responsibilities
  • Demonstrate hands-on willingness and mechanical aptitude to perform basic machine repairs when needed
  • Deliver compelling presentations and value propositions to customers and partners
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Business or Packaging Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience with a proven track record of prospecting and closing new business
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with minimal need for oversight
  • Ethical, organized, and highly effective at managing time and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 30% of the time
