Employment Specialist

Summary :

Supervise on-site performance and offer work related support for eligible staff.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for one on one job coaching supports in relation to each eligible staffs specific job-related vocational needs.
• Ensuring natural supports at the worksite are secure through interactions with supervisors and staff.
• Conduct training re-training and on-going employment supports necessary to maintain competitive employment for eligible staff.
• Responsible for monitoring supported employment services including regular contact with supervisors and data collecting.
• Attend professional training sessions seminars in-services and staff meetings as recommended by administration.
• Assist in designing and implementing individualized training plans and collecting the appropriate data.
• Facilitate communication between staff and supervisors to assure employment success.
• Assist in compiling staff productivity information.
• Promote the health and safety of all staff through adherence to all agency procedures.
• Maintain accurate and updated program and work records.
• Assist in maintaining all records in compliance with ISO and department procedure.
• Write clear concise narratives documenting all billable activity.
• Ensure the implementation of all work / future planning for caseload assigned.
• All other duties as deemed necessary.
• Additional hours if needed are mandatory.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Education and / or Experience :

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in the area of Human Services is desirable. The ability to supervise on- site job performance is required. Valid drivers license is required. Driving record must meet insurability requirements and must furnish own transportation. Physical requirements : May require but will not be limited to : standing walking reaching lifting and balancing.

Physical Demands :

The position requires staff to alternate from a sitting position to a standing position frequently. Repetitive motion required. Lifting bending twisting and turning are required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties.

Work Environment :

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate but occasionally loud. Use of Personal Protective Equipment such as vinyl or latex gloves is occasionally required.
