Descripción del trabajoREQUIREMENTS Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field of study Desire and ability to quickly learn the fundamentals of a broad range of new technologies in technical discipline Strong written and verbal communication skills Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with business leaders, attorneys, scientists and engineers, and patent examiners RESPONSIBILITIES Reviewing technical disclosures and participating in client interviews to understand new inventions; Reviewing and analyzing technical literature and patent documents to establish patentability of an invention; Reviewing and analyzing patent documents to establish freedom-to-operate for client products; Drafting written assessments of the prospects of obtaining patent protection; Drafting patent applications; Preparing responses to communications (“office actions”) from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and other patent offices; and Reviewing patents and other materials as part of IP due diligence for potential mergers and acquisitions.
