Job Description

HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Polysomnographer for a travel job in Santa Rosa, California.

Title : Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist

Location : Santa Rosa, CA

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (06 : 30 – 18 : 00), every other weekend required

Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform sleep studies including baseline polysomnography, MSLTs (adult and pediatric), home sleep tests, seizure studies, and titration studies (CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, VPAP, oxygen administration).
  • Conduct accurate staging and scoring of sleep studies, including identifying respiratory events, arousals, sleep stages, complex sleep apnea, Cheyne–Stokes respirations, periodic breathing, transient arousals, and hypopneas.
  • Monitor and document ECG, EEG, O2 saturation, end-tidal CO2, respiratory inductance plethysmography (RIP), cardiac abnormalities, periodic limb movements, and related parameters throughout diagnostic and titration sessions.
  • Fit and adjust full-face, nasal mask, and nasal pillow interfaces for patients.
  • Provide patient education, maintain infection-control standards, and ensure high-quality patient care across pediatric, adult, geriatric, and adolescent populations.
  • Utilize required equipment including Alice 6 G3 and ResMed CPAP / BiPAP systems.
  • Chart accurately using the EPIC system.
  • Float to similar units as needed.

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 1 year of sleep tech / polysomnography experience
  • Experience working with both pediatric and adult populations
  • Ability to manage 1 : 2 ratio for adults and 1 : 1 ratio for pediatrics
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting
  • Competence in performing and scoring a wide range of sleep studies (PSG scoring required)
  • Experience with Alice and ResMed equipment preferred
  • Ability to work in hospital or independent lab settings

    • Required Licensure & Certifications :

  • RPSGT or RRT with SDS (required)
  • Active California State License (required; no pending licenses accepted)
  • BLS certification (required)
