Scrum Master

Location : Hybrid in Oakland, CA - Hybrid (Onsite - Tues, Wed & Thurs)

Pay Rate : $101.00 / hr

Duration : 10 months+

Hours : 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm

Key Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation & Team Leadership

Serve as Scrum Master for 1–2 cross-functional Agile teams (SAP functional, technical, and business).

Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies : Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives .

Promote continuous improvement, accountability, and empirical delivery.

Hybrid Agile / PMO Alignment

Navigate between Agile delivery and traditional PMO structures (stage gates, RAID logs, documentation).

Coordinate with waterfall-based workstreams such as data migration, integration, testing, and cutover.

Align teams with Program Increments (PIs) , release plans, and governance frameworks.

Planning & Coordination

Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, System Integrators, and SAP Consultants to prioritize backlogs.

Facilitate story refinement, estimation, and breakdown of SAP-specific tasks and enhancements .

Track, communicate, and resolve dependencies, risks, and blockers across ERP streams and legacy systems.

Agile Scaling & Collaboration

Participate in scaled ceremonies (e.g., PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos ) under SAFe or similar models.

Collaborate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Solution Architects, and other Scrum Masters .

Track and report Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, team health).

Tools & Methodology

Manage team workflows using Jira , Confluence, and related tools.

Apply SAP Activate methodology and integrate Agile practices with traditional SAP delivery phases.

Coordinate with functional and technical leads across SAP modules (FI / CO, MM, PM, SD, Basis, ABAP)

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise Agile environments.

Experience with SAP S / 4HANA implementation or major ERP platforms (SAP ECC, Oracle, Workday, etc.).

Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid delivery models .

Familiarity with SAP Activate , ASAP, or traditional SAP project methodologies.

Exposure to scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe) and cross-team dependency management.

Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.

Proficiency in Jira , Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent Agile / PM tools.
