Post Closing Manager directs the post closing functions of multiple regions to streamline processing and approval timeframes and improve customer communication. Ensures timely delivery of all mortgage loans to investors; submission for guaranty or insurance from all applicable Government Entities; follow-up to insure receipt of missing documents on closed loans; correction of document errors and additional documentation requests from investors. Essential duties and responsibilities to include the following : Manage the post closing and approval of investment quality loans and minimize the possibility for repurchase or indemnification of loans. Timely preparation / completion of designated Post Closing reports. Maintain control of all final documents as they are received, reviewed, and forwarded to the final investor within the required time limits. Maintain control to make sure all MIP, PMI, and VA premiums are paid within time limits. Monitor files for delivery and issuance of LGC and MIC. Keep Vice President of Closing and Post Closing advised of all operational progress or challenges. Coordinate work efforts with Secondary Marketing team and Closing team to provide acceptable service levels. Work closely with Operations team and Production team to establish a clean handoff by accepting loans clear to close to ensure and meet the goal of having all loans fund upon the first review by the investor. Work directly with the Compliance Manager on all matters related to quality control. Review and respond accordingly to all audits. Review loan packages as needed as part of the Quality Review Process. Internally audit and monitor compliance to all company Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures. Manage the Post Closing staff which includes, interviewing, hiring, mentoring, coaching, motivating, training / educating, documenting, disciplining, and providing timely performance reviews. Actively participate in the creation, development and revision of company policy and procedures for the post closing functions. EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE At least five years of related closing / post closing experience in the mortgage industry and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
