California Licensed Medical Director

A company is looking for a Medical Director of Pharmacovigilance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead global drug safety activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for adverse event reporting

Oversee safety data reviews, signal detection, and risk assessment processes

Collaborate with clinical and regulatory teams to develop and implement pharmacovigilance strategies

Required Qualifications

MD required; experience in neurology, psychiatry, or CND-related diseases is a plus

Minimum 5 years of relevant drug safety experience in the pharmaceutical industry

Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance practices and current regulations

Experience with drug safety databases, MedDRA, and WHO standards

In-depth knowledge of the drug development process and aggregate safety report authoring
