Position Title : Quality Control Specialist II

Location : Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Philadelphia, PA

Clearance Requirement : Department of Defense Secret Clearance (Active or Interim)

Work Schedule : Forty hour work week schedule with some overtime allowed. Approximately 95% on-site at NSWCPD; up to 5% travel as required.

Contingency : This position is contingent upon contract award

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Specialist II will support the business operations of the Compatibility Test Facility (CTF) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). This role ensures the effective implementation of quality management processes and compliance with established standards across programmatic, financial, and operational functions. The specialist will collaborate with engineering, logistics, and support personnel to maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Control Specialist II will perform tasks aligned with the Contractors support of NSWCPDs CTF Business Operations, including but not limited to :

Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with organizational and contractual requirements.

Monitor and evaluate processes across programmatic, financial, records management, and maintenance functions to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Identify, document, and track discrepancies, non-conformances, and corrective actions, working with program personnel to implement resolutions.

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and configuration management efforts to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Support metrics development and reporting to track quality performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and records management in alignment with NSWCPD and NAVSEA standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing QA / QC guidance and expertise to support operational objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma, GED, trade / industrial school graduate, or related military experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Quality Assurance / Control, including drafting and implementing QA plans and documentation.

Working knowledge of Naval Sea System Command ( NAVSEA ), Naval Surface Warfare Center ( NSWC ), and Fleet organizations is desired.
