Client Overview

Our client is a preventive health clinic. They are looking for a skilled and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem) to support the McLean clinic during the fall and winter season, especially during flu season.

Salary / Hourly Rate

$30 / hr - $32 / hr

Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem) will primarily cover for staff on leave and requires in-person availability. You will assist physicians with various procedures and help deliver high-quality preventive care to corporate employees. The schedule on Fridays, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM, is required. Additional weekday coverage (1 - 2 days a week) may be requested but is not guaranteed. Contract Duration is from October 2025 to January 2026.

Responsibilities Of The Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem)

Support physicians with clinical procedures.

Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, injections, and vaccine administration.

Conduct routine tests : audiometric, vision, pulmonary function, and tonometry.

Assist with cardiac step tests and prepping for stress tests.

Escort patients to testing and exam areas.

Provide excellent customer service and patient education.

Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms.

Manage inventory of medical supplies.

Perform administrative duties as needed.

Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.

Required Experience / Skills for the Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem) :

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.

Strong phlebotomy and vaccine administration skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills for the Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem) :

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and adapt to changing schedules.

Education Requirements :

Current LPN license in Virginia.

CPR / BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
