Panel Library Coordinator
The Panel Library Coordinator is the single point of contact for all panel-related activities in the color development process. This role is responsible for maintaining and organizing the complete library of color panels used in the Commercial Coatings Color Lab. The coordinator ensures that panels are properly labeled, stored, tracked, and available for both local and global projects.
This position includes managing the inflow and outflow of panels, safeguarding reference panels, and supporting the lab team by preparing, labeling, and supplying panels as needed. It is a hands-on role requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting. The Panel Library Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of lab operations.
This is a 1st shift position with the hours of 6am-2 : 30pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Panel Library Management (40%) : Maintain the panel cabinets to ensure all panels are labeled, organized, and filed correctly. Add new panels monthly, check for missing qualities, and ensure all variations per color are complete. Serve as the primary contact for all panel-related requests.
- Panel Tracking & Integrity (20%) : Ensure every color has a standard reference panel stored and protected. Track all inflow and outflow of panels to prevent mismanagement and maintain a reliable library.
- Panel Preparation & Support (20%) : Work with the lab team to request new panels when gaps are identified, prepare and label panels, and provide panels for local or international lab projects.
- Quality & Reflectance Checks (10%) : Perform reflectance readings on panels and verify labeling and accuracy of panels added to the cabinets.
- Team Collaboration & Backup (10%) : Support team members during peak workloads, cross-train in related tasks, and assist in broader lab operations when needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory, filing, or materials management.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools.Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.Ability to work independently while serving as the main contact for all panel-related activities.Effective communication skills for working with lab technicians, managers, and global colleagues.Key Success Factors
