Role Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Accountant to support the company’s finance and accounting operations. This role is hands-on and responsible for financial reporting, account reconciliations, compliance, and supporting forecasting and budgeting processes. The Senior Accountant will ensure accuracy in financial records, compliance with regulations, and timely reporting to help guide informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, budgets, and P&L models.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements, including tax filings.
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including billing, collections, payroll, payroll taxes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Provide financial analysis to support pricing, contracts, and other operational decisions.
- Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and risk exposure.
- Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and other compliance-related projects.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.Experience in financial services, fintech, or payments industry.Familiarity with regulatory reporting, sales tax filing, and audit processes.Why Paynuity?
