Position Overview
The Make Ready Technician plays a key role in getting apartment homes ready for new residents. If you take pride in doing things right the first time, enjoy working independently and with a team, and want to help create move-in-ready homes, this role is for you. You’ll help us turn units quickly and keep our communities looking their best.
Key Responsibilities
Unit Turnovers & General Maintenance
- Complete make-ready work orders on schedule and to company standards.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including light plumbing, painting, carpentry, and appliance repair.
- Leave units clean and neat after work is completed.
- Provide notice of entry to residents with updates on completed or ongoing work.
- Follow up on any incomplete work orders until resolved.
Community Support
Assist with grounds upkeep and help maintain curb appeal.Proactively service and maintain community amenities such as pools.Collaborate with office and maintenance teams to report needs and complete work efficiently.Notify Maintenance Supervisor of needed supplies and inventory levels.Assist residents with professionalism and care.Safety & Compliance
Comply with OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations.Follow all key control procedures.Maintain a drug-free, alcohol-free, and safe work environment.Secure and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies appropriately.Participate in the on-call emergency rotation as assigned.Qualifications
1+ years of experience in make-ready, maintenance, or similar field.High school diploma or equivalent required.Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.HVAC knowledge preferred but not required.Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills.Key Competencies

Frequent walking, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, and use of tools is required. Must be available for after-hours work when part of the on-call rotation. This role includes exposure to indoor and outdoor work conditions, including seasonal weather.
