Job Title : Registered Nurse – PICU

Location : Naperville, IL 60540

Job Type : Contract (8 Weeks, possible extension)

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (Night)

Hours per Week : 36

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team in Naperville, IL. In this role, you will provide exceptional, compassionate care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and responses to treatments.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
  • Licensure : Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (or compact license).
  • Certifications :
  • Basic Life Support ( BLS Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS Required
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse – Pediatric ( CCRN-Pediatric Preferred
  • Experience : Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience in a PICU or Pediatric Critical Care setting required.
