Healthcare Setting : Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), 31 beds

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00-07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Employment Type : Travel RN (W2)

Dress Code : Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience

ACLS and BLS certifications required

Ability to work night shifts and meet weekend shift requirements (minimum 4 weekend shifts per schedule)

Experience with ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000 preferred

Familiarity with Meditech healthcare documentation system is a plus

MICU RN Responsibilities

Provide attentive and compassionate care to critically ill MICU patients and their families

Monitor and manage patients with a 2 : 1 patient ratio (may vary based on acuity and staffing)

Perform advanced clinical procedures : central line insertion, arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including unit secretaries and nurse externs

Float to medical-surgical units as needed, adapting to diverse patient care assignments

Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech

Participate in self-scheduling and coordinate with management to balance shifts
