Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York RN license preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical / Surgical nursing role

Certifications : BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred

Strong clinical skills with the ability to serve as charge nurse as needed

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Medical / Surgical RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care to diverse adult and geriatric populations in a med / surg unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and progress

Administer medications, IVs, and treatments according to physician orders

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Offer leadership and support as a charge nurse when required

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
