Position Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by implementing and evaluating individualized nursing care plans. The RN coordinates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes while maintaining safety standards and compliance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission.
  • Develop individualized care plans and identify patient / family teaching needs.
  • Participate in team conferences, providing timely updates on patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the medical record.
  • Implement discharge planning and patient / family education from admission onward.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to ancillary staff.
  • Promote a safe environment for patients and staff in compliance with hospital safety policies.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested after orientation.
  • Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-development.
