• Varied work schedule with flexible assignments
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for medical-surgical patients
• Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate care activities, and delegate appropriately to other healthcare team members
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses in accordance with facility policies
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed
• Mentor and precept other nursing staff and students when appropriate
• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required with experience within past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Must maintain clinical competencies appropriate to medical-surgical nursing
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical patient care activities
