Synthetic Turf Solutions of Minnesota is a family owned company based out of Chanhassen, MN, presently involved in the sales & installation of artificial grass, including Synthetic Golf Greens, Artificial Lawns, Playground Surfaces, Canine Runs, Sport Surfaces, Multi-Purpose Gamecourts, etc. We are hiring installers who want to be team players and grow with a leading, family-owned and operated company in an emerging market. Pay is based on experience & knowledge. Seasonal position, but can lead to full-time employment with the right candidate and offers exceptional resume-building and real-world learning opportunities. Previous landscape, turf or carpet installation experience is beneficial but not required, our team will train you. Hours will fluctuate based on demand, weather, and schedules. Occasional overnight travel will be required.

• Position :
• Installation Crew Member

Laborer on a crew involved in all aspects of synthetic turf installation and recreational surfacing applications such as Golf Greens, Artificial Lawns, Playground Surfaces, Canine Runs, Multi-Purpose Gamecourts, etc.

• Description :

Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work as part of the team. Candidates should have great problem solving and communication skills, both written and verbal. Candidates should be a strong advocate of proper installation procedures.

• Goal :

Produce and perform work in a safe and efficient manner, while exceeding customer expectations in quality and service.

• Requirements :
• Some landscape / construction experience
• Ability to obtain DOT health card through medical examination
• Reliable transportation to and from jobsite / shop
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A clean driving record, valid US driver's license (Bonus $ for Class A)
• Schedule :
• 8-10 hour shifts (varies upon demand, weather, and schedules)
• Monday-Friday
• Weekend Availability
• Occasional overnight travel will be required (Per diem + all expenses paid)
• Compensation :
• Starting at $27 per / hour, depending on qualifications and performance.

• Responsibilities :
• Typical job responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
• Manage weekly workloads of projects to ensure efficient work style, increased quality
• Follow directions of foreman / crew lead for daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite
• Follow safety standards, use installation tools safely and effectively
• Maintain a productive, fun, and safe approach to physical work
• Be able to execute installations, based on a plan / drawing.
• Work with crews to help understand desired quality and outcomes
• Maintain and cultivate positive working relationships with other crew members
• Must be able to take direction and be flexible
• Follows all policies and procedures that pertain to job requirements
• Be able to consistently communicate in an efficient and effective manner on the phone or in person with coworkers and clients
• Capability to adapt from install to install which will often vary in size, scope, and material
• Assist with warehouse operations (Prepare orders, unload / load delivery trucks)
• Use of heavy equipment such as a skid steer, dingo, ride on roller, etc
• Physical Demands :

Must be able to lift / carry materials of 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site. Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting, up to 100% of a workday. Working outdoors in different weather conditions and exposure to elements. Close proximity to moving equipment, machinery and tools used in construction industries.

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

Pay : From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours : 30 – 60 per week
