Responsibilities entail the precise and prompt submission of insurance claims, teaming up with clinical staff to address client billing needs, and timely client and insurance communication. Actively contribute to enhancing revenue through process and procedural enhancements.

Job Description : We are seeking a  detail-oriented and organized Insurance Verification Specialist  to join our team. This full-time, hybrid position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in healthcare or mental health settings. The ideal candidate will be able to balance insurance verifications, assist with claims, and ensure smooth billing processes to maintain accurate insurance and patient information. Previous experience in medical or behavioral health billing is preferred.

Compensation : $21 - $23 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, copays, and deductibles
• Communicate with patients about their benefits and financial responsibilities
• Assist in resolving discrepancies and researching / appealing denied claims with insurance companies
• Maintain accurate records of insurance verifications and follow up on pending verifications
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare billing regulations
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the  Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
