Job Title : Mental Health Professional– DCFS Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS)

Mental Health Professional– DCFS Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS)
Position Overview :
This full-time position will deliver both direct and indirect clinical services to youth and families participating in the DCFS Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS) program. The DCFS IPS Mental Health Professional will provide therapeutic support, engagement, and connection to essential resources for youth in care (ages 0–17) who have experienced disruptions in foster placements. Services will be delivered across a variety of settings, including individuals’ homes, community locations, partner agencies, schools, and Heritage facilities

Ability to work as a team player;Ability to tolerate ambiguity, uncertainty, and change;Ability to navigate electronic health records;Demonstrated above average computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Core Responsibilities :
Empowerment, education, and advocacy for foster parentsIdentify family needs and provide linkage to appropriate community resourcesFacilitate the development of supportive family relationshipsFacilitate development of natural supportsProvide the family with intervention strategies and supportComplete mental health assessments and treatment planningDocumentation of DCFS clinical paperworkEducation and / or Licensure Requirements :
Candidates are required to have designation as a Mental Health Professional (MHP). A Mental Health Professional (MHP) is defined as 5 years supervised experience in behavioral health, Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS), or a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or human servicesA valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of automobile insurance coverage are requiredHourly Rate : $25.50
