Description

St. Joseph’s Hospital has been part of this growing community since 1934, caring for generations of patients of all ages. Extremely skilled and experienced physicians, including those with national and international reputations, cover more than 70 specialties—such as surgery, internal medicine, neurology, and cardiology. A new six-story tower with 90 private patient rooms features a covered drop-off entrance and convenient ground-floor registration for patients.

The practice provides anesthesia services at St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital in Tampa, FL.

Case Assignments

60% will be pediatric anesthesia with the rest adult anesthesia, no OB. Supervision AHPs in a 3 : 1 ratio with some solo cases, including surgeries in newborns.

Shifts

This is a call-taking position. It includes 2 first or general calls per month and some pediatric anesthesia calls, distributed evenly amongst the pediatric anesthesiologists in the practice.

Team Highlights

The group includes 28 anesthesiologists and more than 50 AHPs. BayCare has already approved the construction of a Children's Hospital as a free-standing facility, adjacent to the current building.
