Responsibilities

Cedar Hills Hospital is seeking a Therapist with an interest or background in behavioral health to join our team and to support our patients in one of our specialty care programs.

Inpatient :

• Crisis Stabilization
• Mental Health
• Substance Abuse
• Co-Occurring Disorders

This position works on the units for patients who are admitted, again for anything from detox to acute psychiatric issues. A unit therapist will run group therapy, meet individually with patients, assist with discharge planning, join treatment team meetings, etc.

Some weekends required.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education : Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.

Experience : Preferred : 1-3 years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. New Master's graduates encouraged to apply!

Licensure : Must be state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field. LPC-Associate, LPC, LMSW, Temporary CSWA license or LCSW license required or working to obtain licensure.

Additional Requirements : CPR certification, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
