Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience with post-operative patients, especially orthopedic patients

Description :

The unit consists of 27 beds on each floor.

Patient ratios are 5 : 1.

Unit staff includes secretaries during dayshift and technicians on all shifts.

Equipment used on the unit includes computer on wheels, Pyxis machines, and Welch Allen vital sign machines.

Documentation system is Medhost, transitioning to Meditech on April 19th.

Scheduling requirements are 3 days a week with every other weekend.

The floating policy requires floating between two designated floors.

Procedures performed on the unit include blood transfusions and IV and central line maintenance.

The unit features new equipment and technology, enhancing the working environment.

Staff experience includes a tenure of skilled professionals, providing a supportive atmosphere.

Uniform requirement is dark blue.

Policies and guidelines specific to the unit are in place to ensure quality care.
