Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for controlling the membership registration, record-keeping, and communication and control of the Front Desk area. Essential functions include interpreting and articulating the philosophy, objectives, standards, and program of the Boys & Girls Club to members, their parents, and the general public. The role also involves performing all job responsibilities in compliance with current state licensing requirements for school-age centers, addressing non-compliance issues, recommending the requisition of supplies, receiving and registering new members, issuing membership and guest cards, controlling access to program areas, discovering members' interests to promote participation in Club activities, setting a positive, welcoming tone for Club members, staff, and visitors, maintaining accurate membership and attendance records, making periodic reports on membership, attendance, and registration, answering telephones, recording and relaying messages, preparing letters, forms, and reports, assisting with activities directed by the Program Director, adhering to financial management policies, presenting as a positive role model for youth, assuming other tasks, minimizing payments in arrears, maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation practices, assisting with facility tours, keeping the area clean and organized, and ensuring children files are up to date with all necessary OCCL and Stars information.
