Description

The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) - Level II performs operational and safety testing, maintenance and repairs on patient care equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned medical equipment, repair of damaged medical equipment, and Overhaul of medical equipment.

Use of authorized Army Automated Systems including, but not limited to, the Defense Medical Logistics Shared Standard Support (DMLSS), the Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E), Theatre Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A), and other systems specifically authorized by the USAMMA M3D.

  • Must complete maintenance actions within a reasonable performance time. Maintenance actions include, but are not limited to technical inspections, repair, calibrations / PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment.
  • Travel

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15 percent frequently as required.
  • Work Schedule

    M-F, 0730 – 1600

    7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM EST

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of BMET Experience is required.
  • Army GSS Proficiency is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
  • Familiarity with the Biomedical field and its’ concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Salary

    $ 32.69 to $ 36.06 per hour

    $ 68,000.00 to $ 75,000.00 Annualized
