Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Walnut Creek. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, preparing month-end closings, conducting financial analysis, and overseeing compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The Senior Accountant will also contribute to process improvements and support key financial initiatives to drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, including reconciliations, adjustments, and journal entries.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and applicable regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
• Provide financial reporting and forecasting insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
• Play a key role in process improvement initiatives within the accounting department to streamline operations.
• Mentor and support entry level accounting staff to foster detail oriented growth.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
