Location

Dallas, TX / Kansas City, KS / Chicago, IL (Must be located close to a major airport)

The Data Center Business Development Manager is a high-visibility sales and business development position focused on various data center end-users and market stakeholders, including A&E firms, channel partners, General Contractors, consultants, and others. This is a regional-level field position working within the National Account Program and in tight coordination with Door Security Solutions offices and channel partners. Data center market business development requires extensive sales cycles that include relationship building with C-level personnel nationwide.

Day to day responsibilities include :

  • Lead efforts to identify, create, manage, and develop relationships with Data Center owners and stakeholders.
  • Participate in business development and relationship management activities with legacy Data Center end users within the National Account Program.
  • Develop and maintain tools necessary to maximize the pursuit of the Data Center market, including market research and establishing Business Development strategies.
  • Create demand with mature selling techniques, effective lead management, and project tracking.
  • Develop and manage relationships within the data center marketplace to grow opportunities.
  • Translate customer feedback into meaningful presentations and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with ASSA ABLOY Groups for cross-selling and budget sharing.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

  • 10+ years' experience in the hardware and / or security industry or related industry.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to leverage resources within a large corporate sales environment.
  • Desire to understand an ever-changing market; continuously research innovative products.
  • Must be a self-starter that excels in both solo and team selling situations.
  • Strong selling and relationship building skills with impeccable follow-up.
  • Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills.
  • Capable of prioritizing numerous projects and clients efficiently.
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 70%).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material.
