We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
- this is a temporary position to cover maternity leave.
Overall Responsibility
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Bring patients back to exam rooms, collect vitals and enter into patient chartRemove sutures and staples, provide general Wound Care and 1st aidCasting / Splinting / Durable Medical Equipment dispensing and documentationBlood Draw for PRP under physician supervisionEnter Labs / Diagnostic Imaging / CPQ’sInjection Set UpFollow up on Work Comp RFA’sSchedule diagnostic tests and post-test appointmentsContact insurance companies for pre-certificationProvide patients with supplies ordered by physicianClean and stock exam rooms with suppliesCall in prescription refills / dispense medications to industrial patientsContact post operative patients the day after surgery to follow up, enter notes in patient chartCall and confirm appointments for Post tests, labs and Epidural injectionsCheck voicemail, telephone encounters, and return calls promptlyPull films for surgery cases and save to patient chart ? Clean Instruments / Autoclave / Sharp containers, etc.Merging daily chart notes, bubble sheets and scanning for PhysiciansCover other team members if they are out sick or on vacationAct as MA floater when your specific physician is on vacation or when you are caught up with your duties and responsibilitiesMay need to travel to other offices when there is a coverage needWhen available and able, translate for patients and office staffAddress fax inboxComplete disability formsRun CURES reportsRequirements :
