Travel Medical-Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse - $1,992 per week

• Work night shifts on a Medical Surgical unit with Oncology patients
• Target patient ratio 1 : 6 (may be higher during increased census)
• 13-26 week contract assignments accepted
• Every other weekend requirement
• Call required if called off on a pre-scheduled shift
• Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatient holding
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• 24 hours (2 shifts) orientation provided
• Required to work Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team assignments
• May be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disaster situations
• Must attend monthly staff meetings
• Make-up shifts required for any called-out shifts
• Fatigue policy : Cannot work more than 5 days in a row and / or more than 60 hours per week
• Required skills : Med / Surg experience, colostomy care, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line management, PICC line management, chemotherapy administration
• Additional skills : Heparin and insulin administration, surgical drains, chest tubes, wound care / wound vac, isolation precautions
• Required certifications : BLS, Chemo certification (ONS / ONCC)
• Preferred : CPI certification, charge nurse experience, OCN certification
• Minimum 2 years experience required, will accept first-time travelers
• Documentation systems : PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• Dress code : Navy blue and white scrubs
