  • Location : Memphis, Tennessee 38104\n
  • Healthcare Setting : Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center\n
  • Unit : 8 NORTH (Medical Surgical)\n
  • Assignment Duration : 13-week travel contract\n
  • Start Dates : 11 / 17 / 2025 or 12 / 3 / 2025\n
  • Nursing Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 7 (team nursing model with PCC, LPN support)\n
  • Weekend / On-Call : As needed\n
  • Travel Assignment Type : W2\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience in a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital\n
  • At least 1 completed previous travel nursing assignment\n
  • Active Tennessee RN license or compact state license (NLC compliance)\n
  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS\n
  • Experience with Cerner charting system preferred\n
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n
  • Residence must be at least 100 miles from facility\n
  • First-time travel nurses not accepted\n
  • Willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps with Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's\n

    • \n\nMedical Surgical RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy medical surgical unit\n
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, initiate and maintain IVs, and perform telemetry monitoring\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams\n
  • Float between similar units and campuses within a 20-mile radius as needed\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures\n
  • Participate in team nursing, supporting colleagues and promoting optimal patient outcomes\n
