Responsibilities The position is in a Level I Trauma PACU, rotating between the PACU and pre / post interventional radiology areas Short-term acute care hospital setting Primary patient population includes post-surgical cases in GU, GYN, colorectal, bariatric, minimally invasive, and some ENT procedures Patient ratio is 1 : 2 with complex postoperative patients Shift schedule is 4x10-hour nights, primarily Monday-Thursday, with varying start times Floating required within the service line as needed On-call required, 24 hours per 6-week schedule period No weekend shifts required Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience required Scrub color is navy Provide critical care to complex post-op and pre / post interventional radiology patients in a busy PACU Manage multiple complex patients even in pre-op settings, including those with general anesthesia Participation in required fit testing; facial hair must allow proper fit No local candidates permitted within a 75-mile radius Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; none permitted during the first week of orientation Permanent former staff may return only after 1 year away Maximum contract length of 18 months for travelers, with a required 3-month break after 18 months Modules for orientation must be completed pre-start Parking details provided during orientation; night shift parking is free in employee lots Requirements Active MO or compact RN license BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 1 year of PACU or critical care experience is required Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred Skill with vents, IV starts, telemetry, management of multiple drains, vasoactive drips, and mechanical ventilation required Epic EMR experience required Open to first-time travelers Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility Pending MO or compact RN license accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628460.
