Pay : $18 and up
Available Shifts :
1st Shift (6 : 30 a.m. – 3 : 00 p.m.)
2nd Shift (2 : 00 p.m. – 10 : 00 a.m.)
Job Summary :
The Electrical Assembler will inspect, test, and troubleshoot moderately complex electrical systems and associated apparatus. This role involves operating various test instruments and assisting with the coordination of electrical systems with limited supervision.
Responsibilities :
Perform power testing of protective relay panels, switchgear line-ups, communication systems, and HMI components.
Test additional power distribution components, including panel boards and automatic transfer switches.
Maintain testing schedules in alignment with project and production timelines under the guidance of the Electrical Engineering Manager.
Review project specifications and implement testing procedures to ensure compliance with requirements.
Verify test plans against schematics and maintain complete test folders with relevant reports, drawings, and photos.
Manage and maintain the testing equipment inventory.
Develop and update test procedures and testing forms.
Lead problem-solving initiatives to analyze quality issues and recommend process improvements to increase testing efficiency.
Education and Experience :
Graduate of an Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or
High school diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Qualifications :
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable industry standards.
Experience with various types of switchgear testing.
Solid theoretical understanding of electrical power systems and strong problem-solving aptitude.
Proficient in report writing, documentation, and computer use.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Dependable with sound judgment and the ability to manage projects independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, internet research, and computer-controlled test equipment.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
