Mission Critical Data Center Facility Manager
Nesco Data Center & Infrastructure is seeking a Mission Critical Data Center Facility Manager in the Greater Anaheim, CA area.
About the Role : As a Data Center Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that provides preventive maintenance and repair services for a client or facility, ensuring smooth operation of critical infrastructure systems.
This position falls within the Critical and Technical Services function, which supports high-availability environments through technical maintenance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to team members, including performance evaluations, coaching, training, and professional development.
- Oversee daily operations, assign tasks, manage work schedules, and support cross-training to build team flexibility and efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance client relationships while ensuring service agreements (MSAs) and operational expectations are consistently met.
- Ensure timely completion of configuration management tasks, work orders, preventive maintenance, and repairs in alignment with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Act as the escalation point for unexpected issues, keeping the client and senior leadership informed when necessary.
- Verify that infrastructure equipment installations are completed within defined timelines and standards.
- Manage IT equipment-related tasks, including power installations, relocations, and decommissions.
- Monitor daily housekeeping within data halls and address any findings or follow-up actions.
- Confirm all deployments comply with internal standards, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update records promptly following any system or process changes.
- Prepare and present Method Statements and Risk Assessments to senior management.
- Lead by example and promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and professionalism within the team.
- Collaborate across departments and functions to achieve shared goals and ensure cohesive operations.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve moderately complex operational issues, whether documented or emerging.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree preferred, along with 35 years of relevant industry experience. A combination of education and practical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Proven experience in team management, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive or complex discussions, set clear expectations, and resolve conflicts.Effective leadership capabilities that drive quality, efficiency, and performance within the team and broader department.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.Strong organizational skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
