Position Overview
- Assist the cardiovascular surgical team by preparing the OR with instruments, supplies, and equipment specific to open-heart and vascular procedures
- Maintain strict sterile technique during all phases of surgery
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments efficiently
- Support intraoperative care for complex CVOR cases including CABG, valve repair, and aortic procedures
- Participate in OR turnover, instrument processing, and case preparation
- Monitor and maintain surgical equipment used in CVOR procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
