CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

• Summary :

This position is reading blueprints, implementing operations on Routers, setting up and operating machines that may include CNC Mills and Lathes and manual equipment or processes at a higher challenging level of machining work.

Responsibilities :

Ø Setup complex jobs, including tool and geometry offsets

Offer suggestions and / or Design and build fixtures as required

Follow router and quality system procedures

Edit and troubleshoot new and old programs

Read and interpret blueprints properly

Inspect parts to verify blueprint requirements prior to first article

Properly transfer edit and save CNC programs

Quickly and accurately load and unload machines

Run multiple machines when feasible and safe to do so

Provide input to ensure Routers are updated properly

Ability to assist in training of Entry level Machinist

Perform all duties & functions in compliance with all company safety standards.

Requirements :

7 years minimum Machine Shop Experience ( CNC or Manual )

Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints

Understanding of GD&T ( Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing )

Working knowledge of G & M Codes used in CNC programming process

Ability to make adjustments with MDI at CNC machine tool control

Ability to properly use common inspection equipment

Good communication skills

Physical requirements :

Ability to repetitively lift 5 pounds

Ability to bend, reach & stoop

Ability to stand for prolonged periods

Good eyesight required
