About The Position We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant for a 16-day locum tenens assignment in New York. Starting Jan 2, 2026, this role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with four shifts per week, 8 : 00am–6 : 00pm. The position focuses on ambulatory therapeutic infusion and requires recent chemotherapy and biotherapy administration experience. Job Details Location : New York Start Date : Jan 2, 2026 LOA : 16 days Provider Type Needed : Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant Schedule : Monday–Friday (4 shifts a week), 8 : 00am–6 : 00pm Responsibilities and Duties Assess, diagnose, monitor, and manage patients within hematology and oncology scope, under physician supervision Perform arterial puncture and blood gas sampling Conduct debridement and provide care for superficial wounds and minor superficial surgical procedures Implement therapeutic interventions for specific conditions as appropriate Insert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubes Order and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities, including laboratory tests, medications, hemodynamic monitoring, IV fluids, EMG, electrocardiogram, and radiologic studies (ultrasound, CT, MRI, bone scan) Perform incision and drainage of superficial abscesses Perform urinary bladder catheterization (short term and indwelling) Perform venous punctures for blood sampling, cultures, and IV catheterization Provide ambulatory therapeutic infusion, including chemotherapy and biotherapy prescribing and administration Additional Information Must hold current NY license as a Physician Assistant Required certifications : Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Demonstrate recent competence with at least 10 administrations of chemotherapy / biotherapy in the past 12 months Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
