Marine Corps Community Services Job

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team-oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors, and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities :

Reports directly to the Personal & Professional Readiness (P&PR) Branch Manager and provides support to the Information Systems Coordinator, Base Education Center, Personal Financial Management Program, and Family Member Assistance Program.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Acts as an initial point of contact for customers.
  • Collects and compiles program statistics capturing P&PR program usage.
  • Performs government credit card purchases and maintains office supply inventory.
  • Manages classroom scheduling and maintenance.
  • Manages Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) scheduling and maintenance.
  • Supports marketing efforts through the creation of flyers and social media content.
  • Serves as the Facility Fire Warden, Safety Specialist, and MCCS Logistics POC.
  • Operates a personal computer (PC) and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of civilian and military correspondence, spreadsheets, charts, reports, and graphs, using a wide variety of software programs.
  • Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using PC network or links to other computers.
  • Proofreads all prepared correspondence and checks for completeness and conformance to applicable instructions and regulations.
  • Operates PC using graphics applications to produce various graphic materials as required.
  • May type and prepare statistical data sheets.
  • Provides world-class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy.
  • Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
  • Acknowledges customers, smiles, and makes eye contact.
  • Asks questions to determine, verify, and solve problems.
  • Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.
  • Takes action to solve problems quickly.
  • Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
  • Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.
  • Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and / or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
  • Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Minimum one year of experience in the operation of a personal computer and related office equipment.

Knowledge of a variety of integrated software programs.

Knowledge of general clerical procedures.

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
