Summary :
Perform on- and off-aircraft electrical modifications including wiring and system component work.
Execute complex connector terminations (shielded wires coaxial cables fiber optics).
Read and interpret engineering drawings technical orders specifications and retrofit requirements.
Route handle seal wrap bond tie and close wire harnesses and cables per standard processes.
Assemble install inspect modify and test wire bundles and electrical assemblies; ensure compliance with government and company procedures.
Troubleshoot moderate-difficulty electrical and environmental system issues at organizational or depot level.
Conduct bench and flight-line operational testing in accordance with DoD manufacturer and company directives.
Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality.
Diagnose and correct assembly process malfunctions.
Maintain required certifications licenses and safety compliance including Hazardous Energy / Lockout-Tagout.
Support and train junior employees; may lead teams on complex tasks.
Prioritize work to meet project schedules; assist other teams as needed (General Mechanics Structures Avionics).
Adhere to SA Tool and FOD procedures.
Requirements :
Obtain Secret Clearance Post-Start
High school diploma / GED and typically 4 years of related experience or equivalent.
4 years of experience performing the listed electrical / electronic duties.
Knowledge of electrical / electronic theories and systems.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
Lift up to 35 lbs; occasional two-person lifts for >
50 lbs.
Ascend / descend vertical ladders; work in confined spaces; stand walk reach overhead frequently.
Work at heights on elevated platforms and in noisy environments.
Use required PPE (safety shoes eye protection etc.).
Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
Ability to work rotating shifts weekends holidays and overtime as required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications :
Depot-level / modification maintenance experience.
Ability to operate forklift mobile crane or powered elevating equipment.
