POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accounting Officer works under the supervision of Controller and performs some of the following duties assigned by Controller.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for preparing & posting journal entries including callback
 - Responsible for GL suspense correction daily and follow up on any suspense items
 - Review & Prepare daily CD Maturity & Renewal report
 - Review Unposted GL, Application Exception report & GL Balancing report
 - Performs daily and monthly reconciliations of various general ledger accounts
 - Prepares monthly general ledger journal entries and assists with the closing of month-end
 - Perform monthly statement reconciliations
 - Prepare journal entries for SBA Loan Sales, SBA Deferred Fee & Cost
 - Coordinate interest wire preparation & renew notice to branch for State CDs
 - Provide direct accounting assistance to Controller
 - Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or universityBanking experience strongly preferredMinimum of five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
