Responsibilities

University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Serving North Texas and surrounding areas, UBH Denton has provided a range of programs treating mental health illnesses and substance abuse issues since 5. Our inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services offer supportive and compassionate care for adolescents and adults with specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The Military Liaison reports to the Director of Business Development to execute the strategic plan for UBH Denton’s Patriot Support Program growth, and other programs within UBH, public relations efforts and referral source service and satisfaction within a specified geographic area. This individual will be responsible for working autonomously and within a team while taking ownership for territory and objectives which include but are not limited to the following

  • Local Military Liaison: Time allocated to maintaining relationships with current referral sources will be %, Time allocated to developing new business will be %. Adjustments will be made according to need.
  • Develop a designated number of qualified business development contacts per week, which will achieve the overall business development goals and objectives.
  • Develop account management list to maintain current account information, and update as required
  • Contact all primary accounts through personal visits, telephone calls and letters/mailers on an ongoing basis, developing and encouraging a relationship of trust with all active accounts.
  • Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Business Development.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care business development/marketing environment with measurable business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, preferred. Must have knowledge of Military Base accessibility and protocols; with understanding of the process for mental health referrals and treatment within the military.

Licensure: Must have a valid driver's license.

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of the Texas (DFW) behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming. Must possess demonstrated business development concepts, sales abilities, competency in computer usage, and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing and sales principles; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection analysis and interpretation; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
