Clinical Manager (Behavioral Healthcare Services Program / Mental Health)
Location : Washington, D.C.
Rate : $65 / hour
Schedule : Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Manager (LICSW or LPC) to join our Behavioral Healthcare Services team. This role provides leadership and clinical oversight to ensure high-quality, person-centered mental health care for children, youth, adults, and families. The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician with strong supervisory skills, a passion for recovery-oriented care, and a commitment to cultural competence and excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Education :
Masters degree or higher in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.Prior experience providing behavioral health services to children, youth, adults, and / or families in both individual and group settings.Licensure & Requirements :
Must possess an unrestricted independent District of Columbia license (LICSW or LPC)Must successfully complete :Criminal background check
Drug screening and TB testProvide academic transcripts and three (3) professional referencesValid drivers license and reliable transportationCAQH profile completed within 30 days of hireReports To : Clinical Director
Key Responsibilities
Client Care Oversight
Coordinate and oversee comprehensive care for clients.Manage DDS programs and supervise assigned staff.Review, sign, and close client progress notes.Provide at least 10 hours / week of direct clinical services.Conduct screenings, evaluations, and intake for new service requests.Maintain 65%+ productivity and ensure 100% completion of documentation within required timelines.Utilize collaborative documentation and ensure same-day completion of clinical notes.Maintain 99% accuracy for all data entered into the EHR system.Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans for all clients.Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to review cases and ensure continuity of care.Deliver psychotherapy, case management, advocacy, and rehabilitation services in alignment with recovery goals.Manage crisis interventions and ensure timely escalation when needed.Ensure compliance with all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.Supervision & Leadership
Provide clinical supervision to case managers, therapists, and interns.Review and approve treatment plans for supervisees within 24 hours of completion.Ensure supervisees meet documentation, productivity, and competency requirements.Conduct regular supervision sessions and maintain supervision logs per policy.Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.Ensure all licensed staff maintain active credentials and meet continuing education standards.General Responsibilities
