Our client in Willoughby, OH is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is onsite and offers the chance to work closely with a variety of internal teams in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling complex situations, supporting financial reporting, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities :

Perform general ledger activities, including preparing and posting journal entries

Focus on account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies

Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, finance) to resolve issues and support business objectives

Manage challenging situations, such as credit limit disputes between sales and accounting

Utilize strong analytical skills to research and resolve reporting issues, especially with new systems where information may not pull through correctly

Assist in defining KPIs and standardizing reporting processes

Prepare and review financial reports for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

Strong proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)

At least 4 years of experience with general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries

Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal teams

Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills

Experience with financial reporting and new system implementation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Details : Contract-to-hire

100% onsite in Willoughby, OH

Standard hours : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Details : $24.00 to $29.00 per hour
