Position Summary
The Technical Salesperson will grow their assigned Georgia-based territory by developing strong relationships with existing customers and building new ones. This role focuses on uncovering opportunities to deliver impactful solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability, safety, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed agreed-upon sales forecasts for your assigned territory.
- Develop product and application expertise through company and manufacturer training.
- Build and implement territory-specific sales strategies.
- Deliver "best-in-class" customer experiences through consultative selling.
- Conduct 12–14 in-person sales calls per week once accounts are established.
- Partner closely with inside sales to align on priorities and support customer needs.
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities by collaborating with customers, sales management, and team members.
- Assist with complex quotes and provide technical / application support to customers.
- Use Salesforce CRM to manage sales processes and reporting.
- Share market intelligence and successful selling strategies with the team.
- Present annual business plans, forecasts, and reports as required.
- Follow company travel, expense, and safety policies.
- Continuously develop skills with management feedback and training resources.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative selling skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Ability to develop and apply technical product knowledge.
- Skilled in engaging with stakeholders at engineering, maintenance, and management levels.
- Understanding of manufacturing process flow.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Professional office setting with regular customer site visits.Use of standard office equipment (laptops, phones, copiers).Ability to travel daily with some overnight stays.May encounter heat, noise, or other conditions when visiting customer plants.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional evenings / weekends as needed.Daily travel with some overnight trips required.Required Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.1–3 years of industrial sales experience.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.Strong mechanical aptitude with technical knowledge of industrial equipment.Leadership potential, analytical and troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with computer systems.Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively by land and occasionally by air.Why Build a Career with Us?
