Job Summary

The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) provides experienced, resident-centered care in our long-term care setting. In this role, you'll assist residents with daily living activities while under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You'll work closely with the nursing team and lead in problem-solving and maintaining high accountability.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Providing assistance with basic health care needs such as bathing, grooming, and obtaining vital signs.
  • Supporting residents with mobility and physical exercises.
  • Assisting with meals and creating a positive dining experience.
  • Documenting resident interactions and communicating important information to nursing staff.
  • Supporting wellness and recreational programs.
  • Participating in departmental committees and task forces as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • Minimum age of 16 with two years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • Completion of annual competency testing and continuing education, with 12 hours required annually.
  • May need to complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
