Job Summary
The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) provides experienced, resident-centered care in our long-term care setting. In this role, you'll assist residents with daily living activities while under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You'll work closely with the nursing team and lead in problem-solving and maintaining high accountability.
Your responsibilities will include :
Providing assistance with basic health care needs such as bathing, grooming, and obtaining vital signs.Supporting residents with mobility and physical exercises.Assisting with meals and creating a positive dining experience.Documenting resident interactions and communicating important information to nursing staff.Supporting wellness and recreational programs.Participating in departmental committees and task forces as needed.Qualifications
High school graduate or GED preferred.Minimum age of 16 with two years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.Completion of annual competency testing and continuing education, with 12 hours required annually.May need to complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.Benefits
