About The Position

Job Title : Surgical Technologist

Experience : Two years current experience in a large operating room

License : BLS certification required

Certifications : Certified Surgical Technician credential preferred

Must-Have :

• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program or graduation from an accredited school
• Ability to problem-solve in relation to the procedure being performed
• Knowledge of various equipment, procedures, and supplies
• Adherence to proper surgical procedures, aseptic technique, and safety in the use of instruments
• Experience performing instrument counts and maintaining accurate records during procedures
• Ability to prepare and maintain the sterile field in the operating room
• Skills in positioning and monitoring patients during surgery
• Provision of supportive care during the pre-operative phase

Description :

This role provides assistance and support to surgeons.

You will prepare and provide instruments and equipment during surgical procedures in the operating room.

You will work under the supervision of the surgeon.

The goal is to facilitate a safe, effective, and orderly operating room to maximize patient safety.

You will demonstrate problem-solving capabilities related to the procedures performed.

Maintaining current knowledge of instruments, procedures, and supplies is essential.

Adherence to aseptic technique and safety is required at all times.

Preparing and counting all surgical instruments and supplies accurately is critical.

You will ensure the sterile field is maintained throughout the surgical procedures.

Preparing the patient's skin for surgery and positioning the patient are also key responsibilities.

Monitoring patients during surgery and providing care in the pre-operative phase are required tasks.

Handling specimens correctly and following safety procedures is essential.

Keeping up with developments in the field through continued education is expected.
