THE ROLE : The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting oversees the company’s consolidated financial reporting function, ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, internal controls, and reporting processes across multiple homebuilding divisions. The Senior Manager partners closely with executive management, finance, operations, and audit teams to deliver financial insight that informs strategic decision-making and supports the company’s growth, profitability, and compliance objectives.
DAY IN THE LIFE :
Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across all divisions and entities.Lead the preparation of the monthly management book, reporting deck, and trending graphs.Support IPO or other equity sale transaction readinessConfirm propriety and proper presentation of Company Financial Statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, other required statements, footnote disclosures MD&A and other GAAP or SEC reporting requirements.Prepare and compile supporting documents.Maintain awareness of industry changes and activities and the potential impact to the Company’s financial statementsLead and coordinate ad hoc requests and analysis received.Drive the reporting timeline with required tasks to ensure that all reporting is prepared and filed according to requirements.Facilitate reviews by management and address questions / concerns.Provide documentation, support, and assistance to auditors (external or internal) completing their review of the Company’s filings, including completion of related disclosure checklists.Manage and understand all GAAP and ICFR requirements and related future changes to ensure financial reporting processes and systems comply.Manage implementation of emerging accounting issuesAssist Finance management team in preparing responses and Company position on certain complex accounting issues as they may arise.WHAT YOU’LL NEED :
6+ years of accounting and regulatory reporting experience preferably from public accounting and industry with direct SEC experience and preparation of financial statements and footnotes of public companies.Previous Real Estate / Construction experience preferred.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA preferred.WHAT WILL SET YOU A PART :
