Wake County Public Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Communicable Disease Manager to lead and oversee its Communicable Disease Program. This leadership role is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a range of public health initiatives, including disease surveillance, tuberculosis control, refugee health, and health education. The manager ensures the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and data-driven services that protect and promote community health.

Key Responsibilities :

• Direct the strategic planning and daily operations of the Communicable Disease Program
• Lead program areas including : Communicable disease surveillance, Tuberculosis control, Refugee health services, Disease Intervention services, and health and education outreach
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal public health regulations
• Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and guide prevention and control strategies
• Develop and monitor program goals, performance metrics, and timelines
• Manage program budgets, grants, and contracts
• Collaborates with healthcare providers, schools, long-term care facilities, and government agencies
• Lead and support multidisciplinary teams of clinical and non-clinical staff including : Communicable Disease Surveillance Team, Tuberculosis and Refugee Health Clinic, Communicable Disease Quality Assurance Team, and Disease Intervention Specialists
