Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele Float position with night shifts and mandatory floating across multiple units.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based Med / Surg Telemetry Float Pool
  • Float between Progressive Care, Med / Surg Telemetry, and ED Observation units
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Every other weekend and 50% holiday rotation required
  • Mandatory floating, including assignments as Patient Observer (Sitter)
  • Cerner EMR is used; experience is preferred but not required
  • Candidates must be willing to float as needed according to unit guidelines
  • A 75-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate
  • Must work 50% of contract holidays
  • Returning travelers do not require re-orientation if returning within 18 months
  • A 9-month gap is required between travel assignments to return
  • All requested time off must be submitted up front for approval

    • Requirements

  • Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in the relevant specialty
  • CPI Blue Card required for Behavioral Health RNs (can be completed onsite if needed)
