Position Summary
The SVP, IT Development (Sales & Acquisition Engineering) is responsible for technology modernization and capability engineering with an eye on the future. SVP, IT Development (Sales & Acquisition Engineering) is expected to build strong relationships within IT and other department leaders to drive the modernization and transformation agenda. This position is instrumental in meeting a company’s strategic goals.
Essential Job Functions :
- Build and manage a team of software engineers focusing on technology modernization and re-engineering of Bank’s IT systems
- Provide solution conceptual design to projects based on architecture standards, assertions / guidelines, and usage patterns ensuring security, scalability and supportability.
- Oversee the engineering function during evaluation of concepts including technical risks, architecture, dependencies and technical aspect of incubation plan to build and launch into market.
- Ability to implement on-prem, cloud-based & hybrid implementation strategies for responsive web and mobile applications and lay the foundation to deliver functional prototypes in weeks not months.
- Support IT leadership functions including annual planning, budgeting, status reporting, presentations and continuous improvement.
- REST based microservice APIs and micro-frontends along with a deep understanding of DevOps & CI / CD.
- High proficiency with cloud services (e.g. : AWS, GCP) and ability to build, deploy and scale hybrid-infrastructure platforms.
- Proficiency with JS frameworks (e.g. : React, Angular, NodeJS), SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g. : SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Elastic), Object oriented development (e.g. : Java, Node.js, or .NET / C#).
- Forecast and manage finances for large IT programs
- Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry
- Actively promotes the mission of the company within the organization

Position Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering or related field12-15 years progressive Information Technology experience; 5 or more years management and strategic experience in a Financial Services organization.5 or more years of experience with public cloud providers10+ years of experience building technology solutions in Sales and Acquisition domainExcellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skillsAbility to collaborate effectively and follow up ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results.Demonstrate company core values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity.Preferred :
