Tax Senior Accountant

Our client, a well-established public accounting firm with over 40 years of success, is seeking a motivated Tax Senior Accountant to join their growing team in a full-time, on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns (1040, 1120 / 1120S, 1065, 1041).
  • Manage multiple client assignments with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Research tax issues and assist with tax planning strategies for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and address tax questions.
  • Support and mentor staff accountants; assist with training and development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with managers on complex tax matters and client engagements.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of public accounting tax experience.
  • CPA candidate or CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing).
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax preparation across multiple entity types.
  • Experience with tax software (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary : $85,000 $120,000 (commensurate with experience).

    • Work Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site position.
  • Standard hours with extended hours during tax season (January April).
  • Flexible scheduling available after busy season.
